Delux Burger Bar

Delux, Durban’s trendiest gourmet burger bar situated in Florida Road Morningside, officially opened on 6 June. The restaurant offers a variety of tantalising meals and a fully stocked licensed bar. On 26 March, Dylan Harris, the founder of Delux Burgers in Glenwood was tragically killed in a motorbike accident. But his dream of creating lively restaurants with a casual atmosphere ideal for dining with family and friends did not depart with him. Dylan’s mother, Elaine, and her partner, Jason, pursued Dylan’s vision and opened Delux Gourmet Burger Bar in Florida Road.

Delux is a trendsetting restaurant, catering for the young at heart and the discerning diner. It offers everything from tasty gourmet burgers and pasta dishes, to grilled meat cuts, complemented by a fine selection of wines. A lip-smacking dessert menu with a choice of 100% natural ice creams, milkshakes and sweets rounds off a perfect meal out.

Delux Chef, Marlon Sithole, completed the two-year Professional Chef’s course at Intec College and started his career at Yossi’s where he cooked up a storm for four years before joining Delux. Exploring recipes from a young age with a passion for cooking is reflected in Marlon’s specially made, real beef patties. But what makes the establishment absolutely amazing is its assortment of Delux speciality drinks and cocktails. They are a medley of exotic tastes and colours and, served with a flavoursome meal, a happy celebration of life. Delux Gourmet Burger Bar is a fusion of timeless classics and contemporary distinction, all wrapped in a bubbly and cheerful milieu, a jovial monument to its former creator.
